Overview
ITNS-Global's Hospital Management System (HMS) is a fully bespoke clinical and administrative management platform designed and developed by ITNS-Global's engineering team — covering the complete patient journey from registration through consultation, investigation, admission, treatment, discharge, and billing, with all departmental workflows integrated in a single system and all data owned entirely by the healthcare facility.
Generic HMS platforms impose significant constraints on healthcare organisations. Modular licensing — paying separately for OPD, IPD, pharmacy, lab, radiology, and billing — creates escalating costs as the facility grows. Rigid clinical workflow templates force medical staff to adapt their documentation to the software's structure rather than the software adapting to clinical practice. Per-bed pricing that penalises growth. Data hosted on vendor servers, creating privacy concerns and creating dependency on the vendor for data access.
ITNS-Global builds the HMS to your hospital's specific clinical reality. If your facility has specialties with specific consultation templates — a structured SOAP note for general medicine, an ophthalmology eye examination chart, an orthopaedic joint assessment form — those templates are built into the EHR. If your pharmacy has specific dispensing rules, formulary restrictions, or narcotic register requirements, those are programmed in. If your insurance panel has specific pre-authorisation workflows and claim formats, those are integrated.
The result is an HMS that clinical and administrative staff actually use — because it reflects how they work, not how a generic software vendor thinks a hospital should work.
What it includes
Patient Registration & UHID Management
A central patient registration module assigning every patient a Unique Health Identification (UHID) number that persists across all visits, departments, and encounters — enabling a complete longitudinal patient record from first visit onwards. Registration captures demographics, contact details, emergency contacts, insurance panel membership, and consent documentation. Quick registration for walk-in patients with full record completion in under 2 minutes. Patient search by name, mobile number, UHID, and Aadhaar for instant record retrieval.
Appointment Scheduling & OPD Queue
An online and front-desk appointment booking system with doctor-wise availability, specialty-wise scheduling, and configurable slot durations. Patient-facing online booking portal with appointment confirmation SMS/email. OPD token management and queue display system for waiting area screens. Walk-in patient token integration. Doctor dashboard showing today's appointment list with patient chief complaint visible before the consultation begins. Appointment analytics tracking no-shows, cancellations, and peak load by doctor and specialty.
OPD Consultation & Electronic Health Records
Specialty-specific consultation templates built for each department — structured fields for chief complaint, history of presenting illness, past medical history, medication history, examination findings, investigations ordered, diagnosis (ICD-10 coded), and management plan. Prescription module integrated with the pharmacy formulary for drag-and-drop drug selection. Investigation orders flow directly to the lab or radiology module. Patient's complete history, prior visits, past investigations, and prior prescriptions visible to the consulting doctor from a single screen.
IPD Admission, Ward & Bed Management
Inpatient management from admission request through bed allocation, nursing care documentation, daily round notes, diet orders, surgical scheduling, procedure documentation, and discharge summary generation. Live bed occupancy dashboard with ward-wise and bed-type-wise availability. Bed transfer and upgrade management. Nursing station module for medication administration recording, vital signs charting, and nursing notes. Discharge process with automated final billing consolidation from all departmental charges accumulated during the admission.
Pharmacy Management
An integrated pharmacy module managing drug inventory, dispensing against prescriptions, and stock control — prescription-based dispensing with dose verification, drug interaction alerts for contraindicated combinations, expiry date tracking and batch management, narcotic and controlled substance register, reorder level alerts, and supplier management. OPD prescriptions dispensed with automatic stock deduction; IPD medication administration linked to the nursing module for consumption tracking. Pharmacy billing integrated with the central billing system.
Laboratory Information System (LIS)
A complete laboratory management module handling test order entry from OPD/IPD, sample collection with barcode labelling, sample processing workflow, result entry by technician, pathologist verification and sign-off, and automated result delivery to the requesting doctor's dashboard. Reference range flagging with abnormal result highlighting. Report generation in facility-branded format for patient delivery. Critical value alert notification to the ordering doctor. Test-wise turnaround time tracking for quality management.
Billing & Insurance Management
A comprehensive billing module consolidating charges from all departments — consultation fees, procedure charges, pharmacy, lab, radiology, room rent, nursing charges, and sundry items — into a single patient bill. Insurance panel rate cards configured with CGHS, Ayushman Bharat, and private TPA tariff structures. Pre-authorisation request generation and tracking. Claim submission and follow-up management. Co-payment calculation. GST on applicable services. Receipt generation with payment mode recording and advance payment adjustment.
Hospital Analytics & MIS
Hospital-wide analytics dashboard providing leadership with real-time operational intelligence — daily patient census (OPD and IPD), bed occupancy rate, specialty-wise patient distribution, revenue by department and doctor, average length of stay, discharge and readmission rates, pharmacy consumption trends, lab test volume, and insurance claim status. MIS reports for management review, accreditation documentation, and clinical quality monitoring. All reports exportable and schedulable for automated monthly delivery.
What changes for you
1 system
All Departments, One Platform
OPD, IPD, pharmacy, lab, radiology, and billing all operating within a single integrated system eliminates the information silos and manual handoffs between departments that cause delays, errors, and duplicate data entry in facilities running multiple disconnected software tools.
↓ wait
Reduced Patient Wait Times
Digital appointment scheduling, token-based queue management, electronic prescriptions flowing directly to pharmacy, and investigation orders arriving at the lab electronically eliminate the paper-based handoffs that cause delays between registration, consultation, and investigation. Patient journey time consistently reduced 30–40% in facilities migrating from paper to a well-designed HMS.
0 lost
No Lost Revenue
Centralised charge capture from every department with automatic consolidation into the patient bill eliminates the missed billing that is endemic in paper-based hospital billing — procedures performed but not billed, pharmacy dispensed but not charged, investigations done but not invoiced. Every service delivered is captured and billed.
0 per-bed
No Per-Bed Licence Fees
Generic HMS vendors charge per bed, per module, and per concurrent user — a cost structure that punishes growth. ITNS-Global's custom HMS is a one-time development investment with no ongoing per-bed, per-module, or per-user fees. As your facility expands from 50 to 200 beds, your HMS cost does not grow.
100 %
Patient Data Sovereignty
All patient health records, clinical notes, investigation results, and billing data are stored exclusively on infrastructure controlled by the hospital. No patient data on ITNS-Global servers. No dependency on a vendor for data access. Healthcare data is among the most sensitive personal data — complete control is non-negotiable.
↑ clinical
Clinical Decision Support
Specialty-specific consultation templates with drug interaction alerts, clinical decision prompts, and ICD-10 coded diagnosis support improve documentation quality and clinical safety. Doctors documenting in a system built for their specialty document more completely and more accurately than in generic free-text EHR fields.

Questions people ask
Is this a licensed product or a custom build?
A custom build. The system is designed around your facility's own clinical workflows and delivered with full IP ownership. There are no per-bed, per-module or per-user licence fees, now or later.
How is patient data protected?
Role-based access control across clinical, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, billing and administrative roles, with a complete audit trail on every clinical and billing entry. Hosting can be on your own infrastructure so patient data never leaves your premises. For Indian facilities the design follows the DPDP Act 2023.
Can it handle multiple specialties with different documentation?
Yes — that is the main reason to build rather than buy. Consultation templates are designed per specialty during clinical discovery, so a SOAP note for general medicine, an ophthalmology examination chart and an orthopaedic joint assessment each get their own structure.
How long does implementation take?
Around 60 days to go-live for a standard facility, running clinical discovery, core build, billing and integration, department-wise UAT and staff training, then a phased go-live by department.
Can you migrate data from our existing system?
Yes. Patient master data, historical visits and outstanding balances are migrated and reconciled during UAT, with export available in HL7-compatible format.
What happens after go-live?
A support and enhancement plan covers bug fixes, regulatory updates and new module development. Because you own the intellectual property, you are also free to engage any other developer.
